FEES AS OF SEPTEMBER 2021

At Four Square Solicitors we provide transparent and realistic fees estimates. This is done at the consultation stage to give you a clear idea of our fees to enable you to make an informed decision going forward. We provide a high level service at very competitive rates.

Value Added Tax (VAT): all prices stated are inclusive of VAT.

Initial Consultation: We offer an initial no obligation consultation and the cost for this is £150 plus VAT per hour

The work will be carried out by a solicitor of either 11 years PQE or a solicitor with minimum 6 years PQE. The Immigration and Employment departments are supervised by a solicitor with 11 years PQE.

Work included in the above fees

Includes our meeting with you, considering, preparing and working on papers, emails, telephone calls made and received.

Taking instructions in relation to your matter and confirming if the application is the appropriate one for you and tell you what other options might be available to you.

Advising you as to the Immigration rules and whether you meet the rules.

Considering the documents you have provided for your application.

Prepare your application and submit to the Home Office on your behalf.

On receiving the decision from the Home Office advising you of what further steps to take, especially if your application is refused.

Divorce and Civil Partnership Dissolution

Disbursement are not included in the fees, e.g, Home Office fees, court and interpreter fees.

Costs quoted do not include:

Home office fees, this is paid directly to the Home Office as part of your application.

Any NHS surcharge that may be payable for your application.

If application is refused, there will be fees associated with appeals to the 1st Tier Tribunal.

Time Estimate

It is difficult to estimate the length of time for the Home Office to make their decision because it depends on the caseworker handling your matter. We can only give an estimate that less complex cases will take between 4 to 6 months and more complex cases can take between 6 months and 12 months.

We also take on employment cases on a no-win no-fee basis depending on the type of case and the prospect of success.

Disbursements are not included in the above fees, because they are payable to third parties. Counsel’s fees are estimates and range from 2,000 to 3,500 per day for tribunal hearings.

Taking initial instructions, perusing your papers and advising on the merits of the case and the likely compensation.

Looking at the possibility of whether a settlement can be reached.

Preparing a claim or response.

Preparing a schedule of loss.

Preparing and attending Preliminary Hearing.

Exchange of documents with the other party and agreeing bundle.

Taking instructions and drafting witness statements.

Preparing and instructing counsel to attend contested Final Hearing.

Time Estimate

The time it takes from taking initial instructions to final resolution depends on the stage that the case is resolved and timetable of the tribunal. If case is resolved at an early stage, the case will likely conclude within 4-8 weeks. If the case progresses to a final hearing, it can take 12-36 weeks. These time scales are estimates and we will be able to give you more accurate timescales as soon as we have more information and as your case progresses.
